The Still Hopeful Podcast

Episode 46: Beyond the Birth Story with Alexa

Season 2 Episode 24

What a special episode I have for you today. First off, when Alexa started off the episode talking about her sweet angel son, an orb appeared on the screen above her shoulder. It's something her little Kayde is known to do. I'm honoured he joined in on the conversation too. Alexa is a mama to two earth-side children and an Angel, she's a nurse, host to the Beyond the Birth Story podcast, and the Founder of the Kayde Foundation.

We talk about the beautiful signs from her son, like ladybugs in the most unlikely of places. Alexa and I discuss how these signs keep us going and help us feel connected to our little ones in heaven.

We dive into Alexa's uterine rupture that resulted in her son's full-term stillbirth and we tackle the myth that time heals all wounds. It is still painful almost three years later and that is normal because we're still living without our babies.

We also talk about pregnancy after loss, her time in the NICU with her rainbow, and how she navigates helping her six year old daughter form a relationship with her brother in heaven.

This is such a beautiful episode and I hope you reach out to Alexa here on instagram and listen to her podcast.
